WSC Admissions Viewbook
Theology, community, and a professor with a surfboard.

CREATIVE DIRECTION + DESIGN + STRATEGY + WRITING

Westminster Seminary California is a small school competing in a market dominated by larger, better-resourced institutions. Size is typically a liability in that conversation. The task was to make it an asset.

The viewbook was built around WSC’s three genuine advantages: theological seriousness, a faculty of pastor-scholars accessible outside the classroom, and a southern California location that is itself part of the formation. The photography was directed to show what proximity to faculty actually looks like — conversations on campus, informal moments, a professor carrying a surfboard to the water with students.

The photography was directed to show what proximity to faculty actually looks like — conversations on campus, informal moments, a professor carrying a surfboard to the water with students.

The publication moves a prospective student from conviction to community: why WSC exists, what is studied, who teaches, what life here looks like, and who has gone before. Student and alumni voices carry much of the weight — the right call for an institution whose primary credential is the people it produces.

A small school that knows exactly what it is tends to present well. The design’s job was to make sure that came through.
