Training Leaders Int’l
A ministry overview for a Christian nonprofit that strengthens the church by training and equipping pastors around the world.
CREATIVE DIRECTION & DESIGN + STRATEGY + WRITING
The problem Training Leaders Int’l exists to solve is vast and largely invisible: 85% of the world’s evangelical churches are led by pastors with no formal theological training. Every year 50,000 new churches open. Very few of their leaders are equipped to lead them.
Taylor Design Works has served as TLI’s creative partner since the organization’s founding in 2009 — building and evolving every dimension of their visual and communications work across fifteen years: brand identity, website, donor communications, and the ministry overview booklet that puts the full weight of TLI’s mission in front of supporters and partners.
The identity mark reads as both window and cross: light as the organizing metaphor for what biblical training makes possible. That metaphor runs through the booklet — from “Training brings light” to “And the light is spreading” — without announcing itself as a theme. Statistics function as headlines. The need is given full visual weight before TLI's answer is introduced.
Field photography from Ethiopia, Liberia, Serbia, Greece, Serbia, and Asia alternates with intimate close-range images: a pastor’s head bowed over a Bible, hands on a page.
Sending teachers. Training leaders. Strengthening the church. The design serves the logic without getting in the way of it.
